Even after 40+ years of teaching, the excitement of a new school year never grows old and I look forward to an awesome year of CLUE with your children! I hope this will be a year filled with rewarding challenges, exploration, creativity, personal growth, and engaging activities that promote a lifelong love of learning.

 Although I grew up in New Jersey and Maryland, I headed to South Carolina for college, receiving a bachelor’s degree in education from Furman University. While teaching in Georgia, I earned a master’s degree in education as well as my gifted certification and helped launch a pullout gifted program there. I love the challenge and creativity of working with gifted students and I’ve been fortunate to be able to teach in the CLUE program for most of my career.

 I’m married to my wonderful husband, Mel, and we have 7 “canine kids,” most of which are senior and/or special needs rescue dogs.  In addition to taking care of our pups,  I enjoy reading, baking, writing curriculum, and camping.
