My name is Gregory Richards and I am honored and delighted to serve as your site administrator for the 2022 Summer Learning Academy here at Highland Oaks Elementary. I am looking forward to a wonderful 5-week journey with your boys and girls. We will be engaged in high-quality instruction, and a host of other meaningful, yet fun learning opportunities. Please expect a welcome phone call from your child’s teacher this week, as we pride ourselves on building relationships with both students and parents.
Please look below for more detailed information regarding Highland Oaks Elementary SLA.
School Hours: 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Students who are signed up for BEFORE care can begin entering the building at 6:30a.m. in the cafeteria (in the back of the building). Keep in mind, only before care students need to be signed in from 6:30 a.m.-school start time.
After 8:00 a.m. ALL students (before care or not) MUST enter through the front circular entrance. Students who enter at 8:00 a.m. DO NOT have to be signed in. They will go directly to the cafeteria for breakfast and then be escorted to the classrooms by the educational assistants. Parents do not have to remain with students.
The car-rider line will begin promptly at 2:45 p.m. Students may not be checked out after 2:45pm for safety reasons. It is imperative that you remain in your car, so that we can quickly and safely load our students.
If your child is signed up for aftercare, you will need to pick them up on the near the cafeteria entrance (in the back on the building) , where they will need to be signed out.
Before/After Care Before and after care services will be offered through the YMCA. Parents that selected before
and/or after care on the application received an email from the YMCA with registration instructions. Only students that signed-up for the before and/or after-care program will be able to attend at this time.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to working with you this summer!
