  • 4/16/2020: The Governor of Tennessee and our Superintendent announced yesterday that schools will remain closed for the rest of the school year (originally slated to end in late May). We know that you all have many questions, and we are working hard to find all the answers; just hang tight! Here are some updates:

    1. Teachers will be calling all parents this week to see how everyone is and to obtain updated information. If your contact information has changed, please reach out.

    2. The website is continually being updated with new information. New for us this week are two new online platforms: Freckle and Discovery Education Experience. Contact your teachers for more information.

    3. Optional Testing has been rescheduled for the summer (likely June).

Hang in there! We know you miss us. We miss you all too! And we cannot wait to see you. We are a family, and we are all in this together.

    Stay Safe and Be Well.

  • 4/9/20: Well, it has been an interesting few weeks, hasn't it? We miss you all and hope that you are all staying well. Hopefully you have noticed some new features on our website (see the links above) including: weekly writing prompts, the Virtual Library, and the Counselor's Corner.

Beginning next week, SCS will transition to a Comprehensive Learning Guide rather than Weekly Guides. This is to limit the number of times parents have to come to distribution sites to collect packets. Packets will be available on Monday and Tuesday.

We also have some new and exciting online learning platforms to share with you in the coming days.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns. In addition, our Counselors will be having weekly office hours/chats for students and parents that need support (See the Counselor Page for more details).

We Are Grahamwood. We Are SCS. We Are 901. And We Are in this Together.

  • 3/25/20: UPDATE: The Tennessee Department of Education has announced that beginning April 6, 2020, PBS will deliver two hours of programming with high-quality instructional content from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. CST. Four hours of content will also be streamed overnight, which viewers can watch live or record.

The content will be developed and provided by Tennessee educators in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Education and will meet a critical need to ensure all students have access to high-quality learning opportunities, regardless if their home has internet connectivity or capable devices.

In addition, beginning March 26, students can tune into C19TV for grade-specific instructional videos led by SCS teachers.
