We have made some progress with our Spartan Store. We have been fortunate to received donations from Choose 901, Jennifer Chan @jennchanglam, Tricee Fusion and Gracie Adams Pettit (c/o 2015). During the first open Spartan Store day students quickly exchanged their “Spartan bucks” for t-shirts, snacks, drinks and many of the other items that have been donated. Many teachers have commented on the positive response the students are having toward the program. They are eagerly displaying characteristics of the 3 “R”s in hopes of receiving a ticket to use at our newly formed Spartan Store. Students are actively receiving tickets; some are even hording them in their phone cases J .

Each year, the University of Memphis School of Law hosts a program that celebrates the value of diversity in the legal profession, while showcasing the law school and the many opportunities to work in the field of law in Memphis.

This year’s program themed, “Game Changers: Elevating Diversity in the Legal Profession,” will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 8:30am-2:15pm. The goal for Diversity Day is to provide information about law school, how to prepare for law school, and elevate diversity in the legal profession by bringing together the Law School, prospective students, and Memphis legal community. Prospective students will also have the opportunity to see a mock trial demonstration and meet current Memphis Law students and faculty
