Trezevant CTC New Principal Announcement and Welcome Back
DR. EDWIN ROBINSON, PRINCIPAL
Trezevant CTC would like to send a huge welcome to all students, faculty, and staff, including our new principal Dr. Edwin M. Robinson. Dr. Robinson hopes to continue the efforts to nurture and mold future leaders in the industrial, professional, and medical areas.
Dr. Robinson is no stranger to Trezevant CTC as he most recently served as the CCTE Academic Advisor since 2018. Robinson is a veteran educator from Grenada, Mississippi. He began his journey in education at Grenada Middle School where he taught General Science. Shortly after, he taught Chemistry and Biology at Coffeeville High School. He also functioned as the Magnet School Director, Assistant Principal, and Principal for Clarksdale Municipal School District. From there, Robinson served as the Superintendent of Schools for Durant Public School District.
In 2016, Dr. Robinson joined Shelby County Schools as an administrator with the virtual program at East High School. He later transitioned to an Academic Advisor in the Division of College, Career, and Technical Education (CCTE) in 2018 where he assisted with the redesign of Trezevant CTC. His specializations include architecture and construction, transportation, advanced manufacturing and culinary arts program development and support.
Dr. Robinson would especially like to thank Trezevant CTC parents for entrusting us with your child's career and technical education. Trezevant CTC will work to ensure that every student develops the skills necessary to obtain a "PREFERRED" Tennessee-approved industry certification and secures a high-wage, high-demand job immediately following high school. This new principal is passionate about student preparation for the workforce. He is ready to learn, grow, and build better leaders.
As we prepare for the first day back, we ask that students remember to join the many student organizations and the numerous ReadyGrad pathways. In addition to the many offerings like Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair, Barbering, Cosmetology, and Coding, there will also be a new Health Science NAF Academy. All students interested in healthcare should explore this new opportunity.
The staff continues its efforts to keep our school safe and will remain vigilant by wearing masks, social distancing, and staying healthy. Please exercise caution when gathering in larger groups. Let us all remember to practice grace and patience as we continue to endure this new normal.
