EOC testing begins Monday May 3, 2021. These are paper and pencil tests that are to be taken in person. All students will report to the main building for testing. We know that transportation can be an issue so we will be offering two opportunities to take the test each day. Virtual students may leave at the conclusion of the test. If they do not have a ride, they are able to stay and attend classes in person for the remainder of the day.
Our goal is to reach 80% of students tested per subject, this is a district wide goal. We would really appreciate your support in reaching this goal. We understand that logistically this may be a challenge to pick up students after testing. Your child may stay for the remainder of the day after testing if they do not have a ride. We will also be offering two opportunities for students to take the test each day. We will offer an AM testing session from 7:30-10:45 and a PM testing session from 11:15-2:15. Students may attend either testing session but should not attend both.
Your virtual student would only need to attend in-person on days which he or she has a test to take.
English I - all ninth grade students, this is a two-day test (May 3-4)
English II – all tenth grade students, this is a two-day test (May 5-6)
Algebra I – all students enrolled in this course, this is a one-day test (May 10)
Algebra II - all students enrolled in this course, this is a one-day test (May 13)
Geometry – All students enrolled in Geometry, this is a one-day test (May 11)
*Students enrolled in Geometry IA do not need to attend a test
Biology - All students enrolled in Biology, this is a one-day test (May 12)

We will follow strict safety protocols including temperature checks at the door, masks at all times, and socially distanced testing. Lunch will be provided to students staying after the AM test.
Please reach out to the school if you have any questions.

Dear Roadrunner Families,
Ridgeway High School is pleased to announce that we are enhancing our Optional In-Person Learning beginning Monday, April 12, 2021. Students will now follow their full schedule and be with their teachers the entire day. All the research shows that this is the best learning practice for students and we hope to close some of the achievement gaps during the last year. TEAMS will still be used as the main tool for instruction for those students who chose to continue virtual instruction.
Ridgeway will follow all CDC/SCHD Covid Guidelines. Students will be required to wear masks covering their mouths and noses at all times. Students will also be required to adhere to Social Distancing guidelines at all times. These guidelines will be strongly enforced so please have conversations with your child about wanting to congregate and socialize. Not following guidelines could have your child return to virtual instruction.
Standard School Attire is the expectation here at Ridgeway (blue, black or khaki bottoms and a collared top). Students may opt to wear appropriate jeans with a Ridgeway tshirt. We have tshirts for sale at school. The price for the tshirts is 1 for $15/2 for $20. Please send the correct change should your child want to purchase any Ridgeway gear.
Finally, if you would like for your child to return to IN-PERSON LEARNING at THE WAY, please go to our website (https://schools.scsk12.org/ridgeway-hs) and fill the RETURN TO IN-PERSON LEARNING FORM. The DEADLINE is Wednesday, April 7, 2021. This gives us time to prepare for students’ return and get all of the needed PPE for everyone to be safe. If you have any questions, please email me at email@example.com.
