Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Mrs. Madison Hertzka. I graduated from Union University with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education in 2023, and my first year of teaching was in fifth grade! Moving from fifth to fourth has given me a great outlook on where our fourth graders are headed and the skills we need to fine tune before they move on. I have a passion for the socio-emotional impact on education, so I aim to teach not only academic foundational skills, but also life skills.

 I believe communication is the foundation of a successful school year, so please do not hesitate to communicate concerns or questions to me. If you have a question about an assignment, a grade, or an announcement, please reach out. I am human, so if you notice an assignment was graded wrong, make me aware, so I can correct it and ensure your student gets every point they earned! My main focus is student success and a great classroom environment. I look forward to achieving both this year!
