¡Bienvenidos a mi clase de español! I am so excited to work with your children here at Richland with the Elementary Spanish Initiative program in grades Kindergarten through 2nd.  I am also teaching a non-Spanish course this year in 3rd- 5th grades in Encore called Literacy Enrichment. This is my second year here, and it is my 31st year teaching. I have a BA in English, Spanish, and Sociology from Indiana University and an MAT from University of Memphis in Curriculum and Instruction. My experiences teaching both English and Spanish at various middle and high schools have helped me develop methodologies with foreign languages to enhance students' literacy. My children, 22 and 25, attended Richland, and we have many happy memories here.  Richland truly laid a foundation for their educational experiences which is unsurpassed. I am a graduate of MSCS as well. I love my dog, my birds, kids, cars, music, basketball, games, and sharks. I am looking forward to a great year, and would love to hear from you anytime!
