• Vernon Brown

    Vernon Brown is a member of the class of 2015. Upon graduating from Craigmont, Vernon attended Jackson State University on a full-ride band scholarship. He completed his bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Jackson State University in the fall of 2019. Vernon recently graduated from the Memphis Police Department Training Academy and is currently a patrol officer in the Raleigh and Frayser communities for the Memphis Police Department.

  • Catrellus Yancey

    Catrellus is a member of the class of 2017. Immediately after graduation, he joined the Memphis Police Department's Blue Path Program. He graduated from the program in August 2017 and began his career as a Police Service Technician (PST). He also started college at Southwest Tennessee Community College, majoring in Criminal Justice. He earned his associate degree in Criminal Justice in May 2019. This was funded by the Memphis Police Department. In March 2020, he graduated from the Memphis Police Department Training Academy, reaching his goal of becoming a Memphis Police Officer. Catrellus first worked in his community at the Austin Peay Station. He finished his career with the Memphis Police Department at the Raines Station in Whitehaven. During his tenure with the Memphis Police Department, he had the opportunity to serve on two task forces to help combat violent crime across the city.
     
    His tenure with the Memphis Police Department came to an end in December 2023, when he joined the Tennessee Highway Patrol Academy. After 12 weeks of training, in February 2024, he became one of the newest Tennessee Highway Troopers.
