Welcome to the 2024-2025 school Year! This year, I am back where I startred, teaching Algebra I. This marks the beginning of my 19th year teaching at Craigmont and the beginning of my 25th year of teaching.
I spend a lot of my spare time doing my favorite thing--reading books, especially African American literature! So far this year I have read 35 books, which means I am about halfway to my goal of 70 books. My 12th grade English teacher, Mrs. Cora Lewis is responsible for my love for African American literature. I call her my book pusher because she always has great recommendations! Yes, she and I still talk after more than 35 years!
I am a proud alumnus of Tennessee State University, where I obtained my bachelor's degree. I also hold a master's degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, where I lived for 8 years. I am the mother of a son who is serving in the United States Navy.
