Mr. William King
Hello! My name is Mr. King and I am Craigmont High School's English II (10th grade English) and AP Language and Composition (advanced 11th grade English) teacher.
I am currently 32 years old and I received my Bachelor's (Writing) and Master's (Teaching) degree from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. I am an Arkansas native (go Hogs!). I moved to Memphis shortly after I began teaching, and I have been teaching in SCS for 5 years now.
I believe that literacy is a foundational component of success in the professional world, and my goal is to help students learn to comprehend and compose texts on a deeper level by the time they leave my class.
Students are expected to keep up to date on work in my class. If a student falls behind on their work, I will not accept make-up work if the assignment was 2 weeks past. Students must attend tutoring sessions if they expect to make up for 0s due to work that they neglected to complete.
If your student needs assistance in my class, I am available for tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-3:30.This is the time when I will assist your student with work they are behind on or provide them with opportunities for make up work.
You can call my number or send me an e-mail at any time. Please leave a message if you call so I can know who I need to get back to. If you text or e-mail me, please explain your concern or question within the e-mail so I am better prepared to discuss it when I get back to you. If you try to contact me during the school week you can expect to hear back from me within a day. If you e-mail me over a weekend or a break you can expect to hear back from when school is back in session.
