I am an excited educator in year 17 of teaching elementary students. I know this is a great fit for me because of the years of experience as an effective educator with Legacy Shelby County Schools.  I am self-motivated, dependable, and I desire to serve where there is a greater need. As a life-long learner, I understand the importance of having a mindset of change.   It is my goal to provide all learners with an environment that will maximize learning through rigor, innovative experiences, and engaging in concrete and precise teacher modeling. 

Some highlights from my current and past teaching experiences include:

·      16 years of Mathematics and Science instruction at Title 1 schools

·      ELL instruction to students in a Bilingual Program (Dallas, TX 2023-2024)

·      2 years Math/Science instruction in turn around schools (2019-2021)

·      Mathematics Content Leader (support teachers in developing best practices, 2014-present)

·      Effective Classroom Management through building solid relations

It is with great pleasure that my level of experience and educational background presents my ability to work alongside the staff and administrators to help in servicing the students of Lucy Elementary.
