School psychologists synthesize information on developmental mechanisms and contexts, and they translate it for adults responsible for promoting healthy growth and development of children and youth in a range of contexts to address: educational and developmental problems that impact instruction and learning.
"School Psychologists are there 'making sure students have basic educational needs met so that their child can just focus on what they have to do."
~ Cristina Dobon-Claveau, Wellness and Prevention Coordinator - Sacramento, California
The LES C.A.S.E Coordinator/Social Psychologist will serve as a supportive link between Lucy Elementary, home, and the community in helping students achieve academic success. Working directly with school leadership as well as students and families, providing leadership in mental health intervention, crisis management, and various other support services.
