Mrs. Rone
My name is Netarsha McDaniel-Rone. I am a graduate of LeMoyne-Owen College with a Bachelor of Science in Education and Union University, where I earned both a Master of Education and Education Specialist degree. My teaching career started in Bartholomew County Schools in Columbus, Indiana. After two years in Indiana, I returned home to teach in Legacy Memphis City Schools. With over 13 years of classroom experience, I have taught varying grade levels: Pre-K (Can you believe it? 😊), 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ELA, 12th grade English, and Reading and Study Skills at Southwest Tennessee Community College.
My leadership journey started in 2006 as the Resident Principal at Peabody Elementary School through the New Leaders for New Schools program in the Legacy Memphis City Schools district. Since 2006, I have served in leadership as an Assistant Principal in 3 schools. It is my desire to ensure the students I serve receive a quality education that will prepare them for their prospective futures.
In all of my accomplishments in the field of education, my biggest personal accomplishment has been my family. I am a wife and mother of 4 children who could not perceive a life without my wonderful, supportive family. They make my life totally complete 😊
