Seniors have three excused days for college visits if they meet the requirements of good grades, good conduct, and good attendance. For the visit to be excused, a letter from parents or email verification must be presented to Mrs. Moore, the attendance secretary, one week prior to visiting a college. After approval, the student is required to let their teachers know of the absence and is responsible for making up any missed work in a timely manner. A form or letter from the college’s admission office verifying the visit must accompany the student’s return to school. This letter or form should be submitted to Ms. Moore on the morning of the first day your student returns to school. To avoid missing school, students should make every effort to visit their perspective colleges on weekends and holidays.
