The Otis Faulk Griffin Memorial Library
Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Marie Ryall
The Otis Faulk Griffin Memorial Library at Shrine School is a welcoming place where all Shrine students and staff can enjoy books, videos, periodicals, and other resources that support our strong curriculum. Each class visits the library at least once a week. During their scheduled time, we read books together to practice literacy skills, sing songs related to the lesson, do activities that help us interact with the books we read, and practice checking out books. I follow the Shelby County School's library curriculum when planning all my lessons. In addition to weekly lessons, the library also hosts a book club where we read through a chapter book together and give the students the opportunity to answer questions about the book using their communication devices. The library also serves as a meeting place for faculty, organizaiton, or IEP meetings. If you have any questions about the library, please feel free to email me at the email address listed below.
