Congratulations CHS Orchestra!
Congratulations to the Cordova High School Orchestra on a fantastic performance at the World Strides Heritage Festival in Orlando!!! The students earned a Silver Rating and the Outstanding Orchestra Award (the orchestra with the overall highest score).
Thank you to everyone who participated our fundraisers and made donations to help make this trip possible. We are so grateful for your support!

Our Drum Line has achieved 1st place at the Whitehaven Battle of the Drummers this past Saturday! This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent.
Congratulations, Drum Line on this outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of the drumline’s success and look forward to the next performance at Central High School on April 19th. Thank you for your continued support of our students and their endeavors.

Congratulations Choir Students! West TN Choral Performance Assessment
On Thursday, our 5 choir classes participated in the West TN Choral Performance Assessment. The choirs are adjudicated on vocal techniques, dynamics, intonation, expression, and level of difficulty in repertoire through performance. In addition, the students are tested on the ability to perform music at sight with proficiency.

David Porter Visits Cordova High School's Choir
David Porter spoke to Cordova High School's choir about his career as a songwriter, singer and producer for Stax Records. He served as Vice President of Stax Records beginning in 1977. Mr. Porter wrote the classic, "Hold on I'm Coming," and teamed up with Stax recording artist Isaac Hayes to write Sam and Dave's, "Soul Man". Mr. Porter shared his life experiences as a songwriter and producer, listened to a choir performance and encouraged students to continue to strive for excellence.

Congratulations, JROTC!The JROTC Academic Knowledge Bowl Team placed 3rd in the city championships.

Cordova bowling team competed in the regional finals yesterday in Savannah Tennessee. Although the team did not progress to the Sectional tournament, the team represented Cordova High School with passion and good sportsmanship. The team did bring back the district runner-up plaque which will be displayed in the school showcase. High scores were achieved by Landon Green 247, Brianna Morales 203, and Landon Brewer 199. All bowlers did a great job and had a great season. We are looking forward to doing even better next year!

There was a student celebration for students scoring a 25 and up on the ACT. Students were congratulated by our Superintendent and board members as well as our Principal, Mr. Thorne. Please help us to congratulate these students!
