Dr. Nelson is a life-long Memphian.  He has been in education for over 20 years.  He has been a teacher, assistant principal and principal with MSCS previously.  He attained his Bachelor's in Education from Crichton College and both his Master's and Doctorate from the University of Memphis.  He is married with four children (ages 22, 18, 10, and 8).  He is a 20+ year season ticket holder of the University of Memphis football fan and has been a fan of the men's basketball team since the early 90's.  He is also an avid fan of the theater and frequents the Orpheum performances.  He is excited to be the principal at Ridgeway High School as we always strive for #ExcellenceatTheWay.

The will be done by ensuring the top two priorities at RHS are
1) Teaching
2) Learning
