  • If you are missing school, already feel free to start with your BACK TO SCHOOL shopping! Here are the supply lists for the 24-25 school year for K-2. If you want to save the hassle of doing the shopping yourself, we've partnered with Knowledge Tree to offer prepackaged boxes that contain everything your student needs. They will be delivered directly to the school and available for pickup during our Meet the Teacher/Idlewild Gear Up Night on August 1st.

  • We hope you are enjoying the first parts of summer and a bit of a break from school. However, we know how much our Eagles like to read so we wanted to send out the summer reading lists for students to keep on learning. Big thanks to Ms. McColgan for working with teachers to put these lists together and for receiving the Reading is Fun grant which provided every student 3 books for the summer, including one from the summer reading list.

    Bonus: These lists can also be made into a bookmark! Once a student reads a book, sign off next to the book, and then have them turn the bookmarks into Ms. McColgan during the first week of school. We will celebrate our hardworking readers.

    We are writing with an important update regarding the Optional Schools and General Choice Transfer application launch. As many of you are aware, we encountered a technical challenge this morning due to a nationwide outage from one of our software vendors. This unexpected event coincided with our planned application launch, and we understand the frustration and inconvenience it caused.

    We want to assure you that your ability to apply for Optional Schools and General Choice Transfers has not been compromised. The application window has been rescheduled to open at 10 a.m. on THURSDAY, FEB. 1, 2024.

    The application can be accessed by visiting the links below or from the District’s homepage (www.scsk12.org) or PowerSchool (https://scstn.powerschool.com/public/home.html) with your parent/guardian login.

    The priority window for General Choice Transfers: Applications received by 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 23, 2024, are processed first. [NO CHANGE]

    We take our commitment to providing fair and equitable access to this process very seriously. Representatives from IT, Communications, Optional Schools, and General Choice met today to thoroughly understand what happened and conduct a comprehensive analysis. We are taking all necessary steps to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.

    Important Dates:
