In observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, remember Anxiety is not always a bad thing. It can motivate you and help you problem solve. But, sometimes, anxiety can be overwhelming. If your anxiety has gotten out of hand, try the 333 rule: look around to identify 3 objects, then 3 sounds, and finally 3 body parts. This will help you to focus and decrease the amount of anxiety that you are feeling.

In observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, remember Is your mind full, or are you being mindful? Our minds can fill with a lot of things that distract us – grades, homework, friends, fitting in, things at home. When we are being mindful, we are focused on the present. We pay attention, live in the moment, and accept ourselves.

Take a moment to slowly breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth 4 times. One . . Two . . Three . . Four. This relaxes your body so you can think better and handle situations.
