Asst. Principal Kenya Minor has been an educator for 19 years. Starting her career as a CCTE teacher with the legacy Memphis City Schools, she worked at Mitchell High School, Southeast Prep Academy and Adolescent Parenting as content lead, lead Freshman Academy Advisor and acting in other leadership roles before returning to Mitchell High School as Asst. Prinicpal.

Ms. Minor attended Mississippi State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Memphis with an emphasis on Business Education. She also earned a certificate of Educational Leadership from Bethel University.

I am grateful to serve as Asst. Principal of Mitchell High School, the home of the “Almighty Tigers”. My goals are to assist in building the capacity of our teachers, to aide our students in having a successful and comprehensive high school experience, and to welcome our families, community partners, and alumni to be a positive force as we "Reimagine 901". I am looking forward to working with you!
