Mr. Timothy Johnson

I am excited about my first year as a music educator. While I do have experience with elementary school, I finally get to develop the musicianship of young artists. At 31, I am a Memphis native from a family of 13. I attended Middle College High School and the University of Tennessee at Martin for a bachelor's degree in Vocal Music Education. Off work, I enjoy family, friends, music, and quality "me time".  To end with one of my favorite quotes, "If there is no enemy within, the enemy outside can do us no harm." -Eric Thomas

Mrs. Melinda Traylor

I am Mrs. Traylor, and I have been inspiring young artists at Highland Oaks Elementary for more than 20 years. When I am not teaching art, I am making my own art through crafting, scrapbooking and jewelry making. I enjoy travelling, reading, and spending time with my family. Now that my boys are both in college, we added a sweet golden-doodle puppy to our family and love playing with her every day. Besides art, my favorite things are butterflies and donuts! I am looking forward to seeing all your creativity this year!
