John P. Freeman proudly congratulates second grade teacher, Dr. Melissa Collins, who has been named the 2022 Tennessee History Teacher of the Year. This award is presented annually by The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, the nation’s leading organization dedicated to K-12 American history education. It is the second award Dr. Collins has received from the state of Tennessee within the last week. Last Thursday, she was named the 2022-23 Teacher of the Year.
