A. Maceo Walker Middle School offers great first teaching in all core subjects (ENGLISH/LANGUAGE ARTS, MATH, SCIENCE, & SOCIAL STUDIES). Our school also has a phenomenal SPECIAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT where students are offered enhanced educational opportunities in CLUE, INCLUSION/INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCE, ADAPTIVE FUNCTIONAL SKILLS (AFS), FUNCTIONAL SKILLS (FS), & BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION COMMUNICATION (BIC). Students who have a non-English language background are enrolled in our ESL (English As A Second Language) Program.

A. Maceo Walker Middle School offers HONORS CLASSES in all core subjects (English/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies) for all grade levels. Our most advanced students are placed in HONORS CLASSES.  HONORS CLASSES cover advanced material allowing more in-depth study of a topic and may require greater independent research.

All A. Maceo Walker Middle School students receive ACADEMIC INTERVENTION daily.
