Ms. Scruggs is a native Memphian. She attended Le-Moyne College where she received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education.  She has two Masters Degrees, one in Education from Cumberland University and one in School Counseling from Freed Hardeman University.  She also received her Administration and Supervision Licensure from Freed Hardeman University. 

Ms. Scruggs has worked for Shelby County Schools for the past 22 years as an Elementary School teacher, a Middle School teacher, a Professional School Counselor, an Assistant Principal, a Vice Principal, and a Principal.

Personally, Ms. Scruggs enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with her family.
