Principal Leslie Banks is a native Memphian and graduate of Memphis-Central High School, Christian Brothers University and Union University. She has served as an educator and administrator for almost twenty years in optional, traditional, and urban school settings with Legacy Memphis City Schools and Memphis-Shelby County Schools. Through continual professional development, hard work, emphasizing mutual respect amongst all stakeholders, and an intense work ethic, she strives to promote an educational climate where all students can achieve at their highest academic levels. Every day, Principal Banks, along with the administrative team, faculty, staff, and community partners work to make A. Maceo Walker Middle School...A Great Place for Teachers to Teach, Students to Learn and All to Grow! She is passionate, enthusiastic, hard-working, and dedicated to the cause of helping students realize their full potential. She is excited for the opportunity to not only reach, but exceed all school-wide goals while increasing the engagement of community partnerships and support. When she is not with her Jaguar students and family, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her beautiful family.
