• Bolton High School Families,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! Parents, thank you for choosing Bolton High School for your child’s continued education. We are confident that your child will be provided a high quality education designed to help support them as they work towards their goals.

Being one of the most unique schools in the district, we are on our way to becoming a World Class agriSTEM school. We offer CCTE (automotives, childcare, health sciences, cosmetology, construction, supply management, food science, and animal & veterinary science), and many advanced courses. We have the arts, music, band, and all major sports. Let’s not forget our many service organizations and clubs. Consequently, it is with great confidence that ALL students have the opportunity to grow academically and socially at BHS.

To highlight, over 140 students were able to earn their certification in the CCTE department this previous year. Bolton High School has been awarded a $114, 000.00 sub-grant in conjunction with Tennessee State University and Southwest Community College. Bolton was also awarded a $2,000,000.00 agriSTEM grant. Bolton will utilize this funding to enhance our growing agriSTEM programs.  Students will have learning opportunities inside and outside of the classroom.  Students will also be able to study on the campus of Tennessee State University during the summer.  Bolton High School has its very own arts gallery.  The Fine Arts department was able to secure grant funding to design the gallery. Needless to say, there are some amazing things going on at Bolton High School.

I am humbled and thankful for the opportunity to serve as your principal. My desire for students to grow and become successful individuals will continue to motivate me to push myself and team to be the best professionally that we can be. Only this will ensure that your child has the best possible education to which they deserve.

I am firmly committed to working with all stakeholders as we continue implementing the “Bolton Way”. As Principal, my top three priorities include the following:

    1. Ensure a safe and orderly environment in which students can flourish and sustain academic success.
    2. Ensure that students have adequate resources that foster growth and development both socially and academically.
    3. Ensure that teachers are providing effective instruction, in accordance with the Tennessee State Standards, to ALL students. With your support, I know that these priorities will be achieved.

Lastly, one of our major priorities this year is ATTENDANCE.  Please encourage your child to be at school everyday.  It is so important that students are here to receive the quality instruction being provided everyday.  Being at school Everyday Matters!

I look forward to sharing in all the great things that are ahead for the 2021-2022 school year. Remember, it’s the Bolton Way, Everyday!
