Mindful Classrooms

Sometimes it's hard to calm down our brains from the daily struggles or excitements that happen. Our second graders get to do a mindful moment before each guidance class. Research shows that students who practice mindfulness exercises often improve their attention, grades, behavior, mood and ability to self-regulate. Mindfulness can help our students slow down and ultimately make smart choices even when experiencing big emotions.
