"Best practices" are ideas, strategies, and techniques that are effective and ideal in a Pre-K classroom.  Best practices cover virtually every facet of the teaching and learning process-from strategies for welcoming students to school every day to managing smooth transitions and keep a well-organized, well-managed classroom.  Best practices are research-based and developmentally appropriate and illustrate the expectations and outcomes for a high-quality classroom learning environment.
