    Role of the Counseling Department

    • Provide transition support as students move from elementary school to middle school 
    • Counsel students who struggle with anxiety, difficult social and family situations, academic troubles, and stress
    • Monitor the academic progress of each student
    • Provide direct counseling services to students individually and in support groups
    • Provide education and support services to parents
    • Collaborate with teachers, administration and all faculty
    • Facilitate referrals to community support services
    • Provide career guidance to students
    • Network with families and community partners
    • Consult in crisis situations
    • Individual student guidance
    • Collaboration with outside agencies (mental health, legal, etc.)
