  • We are preparing for our First Virtual Fall Break Learning Academy. The FBLA will offer ACT Prep from 9-noon each day during Fall Break. The registration period ends  TODAY. If you have any questions, feel free to email Stephanie McClain (mcclainsl@scsk12.org) or call at 901-281-0657.

  • The Shelby County Board of Education, in partnership with the I am a Voter Collaborative and the Memphis Grizzlies, will host a 901 Votes Drive-In Voter Registration Rally Monday, September 21 from 4p.m.to 6p.m. at the Board of Education.  Linked here you will find a Student PSA on Voter Registration and attached to this communication you will find a flyer with more information to share with your students and their families.

  • Dual Enrollment Chemistry is now being offered here at WSHS.  Dual Enrollment Chemistry is not only a way to earn college credit (usually for FREE), but it can also be taken in the place of Traditional or Honors Chemistry.  Because the class is offered after school, it does not conflict with other classes.  The class meets only 4 days per week. There are only a few slots remaining, if you are interested in joining this class, or want to know about the differences between Dual Enrollment Chemistry and AP Chemistry, contact Dr. Bretta King at kingb3@scsk12.org
  • Spartans- if you have registered for an after school ACT workshop, you will receive the link to the meeting the NIGHT BEFORE your scheduled workshop. This meeting link will be sent to your school email. All workshops will run from 3:15pm-4:15pm. Please contact Ms. Young at youngm4@scsk12.org with any questions. If you have not registered yet, there is still time to sign up for a workshop this week and next week!

  • If you would like to attend the E-Board interest meeting THIS FRIDAY after school, please visit the E-Board instagram to fill out a spreadsheet or send an email to whitestationeboard@gmail.com if you do not have access to instagram. You MUST fill out this spreadsheet to attend.

    12th grade students can sign up for the ACT on Tuesday, September 22. The deadline for parents to sign up their students is September 7. This will allow us have a count of interested students in time for schools and the district to plan for the logistics required for in-person testing.
  • To sign up, parents should visit the PowerSchool Parent Portal and select the “September 2020 ACT Registration” link.
  • Only seniors are eligible for this ACT testing opportunity.
  • This testing opportunity is funded by the TN Department of Education and is free to students.
