Summer School

2022 MSCS Summer School (in-person or online)

Note: The online option will be on Grade Results with NO teacher instruction. A laptop is required. Students must be registered for the 2022-23 school year by May 6th to keep their laptops. (Please contact your grade-level counselor for pre-qualification)

Failed Coursework

Dates:  Wed., June 15 - Wed., July 20, 2022
1st Sem. - June 15 - July 1, 2022
2nd Sem. - July 5 - July 20, 2022

Closed on Monday, June 20 and Monday, July 4 for observed holidays

Sites:  Central HS, Cordova HS, Craigmont HS, Germantown HS, Hamilton HS, Ridgeway HS, & Northeast Prep

How to Enroll in Summer School: 

All students must be pre-qualified by their Professional School Counselor (PSC).  Students will be pre-qualified in May.

Students who have been pre-qualified by their PSC will be eligible to register in-person at the Summer School Sites.
Parents or legal guardians and students must be present to complete the registration process.
Space will be limited!   If we reach student capacity, then students will be placed on a waitlist.

All parents and students will complete orientation during registration at the Summer School Site.

Registration for MSCS charter school students and late registration for MSCS district managed students.

This program is for students in grades 9-12 who FAILED ½ to 2 Credits.

A maximum of two (2) credits can be earned during the summer. 

Courses Offered:
The following courses will be offered at ALL summer sites:
English 9, English 10, English 11, English 12, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Bridge Math, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, U.S. History, World History, Spanish I, Spanish II

These courses will be offered ONLY at one site (Ridgeway HS)
Applied Math Concepts, Lifetime Wellness, P.E., Personal Finance, U.S. Government, Economics, Visual Arts

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Transportation: Parent’s responsibility
