I am a proud product of Memphis City Schools. I earned my Bachelors degree from Alabama State University in Elementary Education.  After completing my Bachelors degree, I taught in Montgomery, Alabama for two years.  I then returned  home to Memphis, where I taught elementary school grades 3-5 in Memphis City/Shelby County Schools for fifteen years.  While teaching, I earned my Masters degree in Professional School Counseling from Cambridge College.   I was an elementary school counselor for 2 years and I have been a middle school counselor for 7 years. I am also the West Tennessee Counseling Association's (WTCA) Middle School Counselor of the year.

Each day, I strive to help my students become better students as well as better people by teaching them life skills and strategies that they can use to help them to be more successful at school and in their personal lives.
