Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Alexzondra Pryor
I am Alexzondra Pryor, and I currently serve as the Mathematics Department Chair and teacher of Algebra II, Bridge Math, and Math Enrichment. I hail from a small town called Cleveland, Mississippi, where I enjoyed lots of land, great food, the silence and serenity of country life, and an extremely neighborly environment. I later pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Edcuation at a historically black college or university called Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU). I loved everything about my college experience and would recommend HBCUs to any student interested in college. I moved to Memphis with my college retention counselor husband Terrance, and we began our family. I've taught a variety of mathematics subjects like Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Bridge Math, and Math Enrichment; in addition to some Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses; and tutored in courses like College Algebra, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, etc. While living here I've obtained a Master's Degree in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership from the University of Memphis, will have a Specialist degree in Administrative Leadership in December from Carson Newman University, and a Doctoral degree in Administrative Leadership in May of 2022. I am excited about another year of teaching and learning math at Wooddale High School!
