Welcome to KK-03! I am Cathleen Villegas and I'm so excited to be your child's kindergarten teacher this year! I am from Houston, TX. After graduating from the University of Texas with my bachelor's degree in Education, I moved to Memphis to pursue my masters in Education. I graduated with my masters in 2018. This is my 6th year teaching. I have taught both 1st grade and Kindergarten. Teaching 1st grade allows me to know just what your student needs to be prepared for! This is my 7th year in Memphis. Although I love Texas, Memphis is home! My husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary this summer. He is also a teacher! I am eager to foster a love of learning, reading, and growing in your little ones this year.

When I'm not teaching, I love to spend time with my husband, bake, read, go on walks with our dog, Vidalia, and eat at local Memphis restaurants.

Our classroom assistant this year is Ms. Clara Daschund. She ia ray of sunshine and is a great encourager and shaper of little minds.
