Mrs. Trakul
Welcome to Trakul's Tigers! This is my 24th year of teaching and my third year teaching at Lucy Elementary with Memphis-Shelby County Schools. This will be my first year as an instructional resource teacher, and I am so eager to get started with our exceptional learners in Lucy's Elite Instruction/Learning Zone!
I have previously taught 2nd grade here at Lucy, 4th grade for Tipton County Schools; 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades for Shelby County/Memphis City Schools; and I also spent eight years teaching 4th and 2nd grades with the Catholic Diocese of Memphis while my older children were in school there. I am so happy to be here at Lucy Elementary doing what I love!
# I ❤️ Lucy!
I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Memphis, and I earned a Master's Degree in Special Education for the Gifted, Talented, and Creative from Arkansas State University. I am currently working on obtaining a Graduate Certificate from the University of Memphis in Special Education for Multi-Tier Systems of Support. I love to learn new things!
My family is very important to me! I am married to Dwayne, and I have four sons! Hunter is a senior at the University of Memphis, Ethan is a junior in high school, Connor is a sophomore in high school, and Camden is in the 7th grade. We love to play games, listen to music, read, camp, hike, fish, kayak, and travel as much as possible!
I look forward to getting to know your families and helping each student to grow academically, socially, and emotionally!
